Vintage Seiko QZ SGP 0923-8000 1975 Quartz

The QZ was a high-quality quartz watch produced between 1971-1975 for the Japanese Market (JDM) and equivalent to the SQ4004 model, which was meant for the export market. This is evident in the relatively heavy and well-finished case with polished sides and a brushed side, along with the quality 0922 Caliber. The silver dial is stunning with a sunburst effect, featuring the embossed "single quartz" logo and the iconic Suwa swirl at 6 o'clock. The mirrored chapter ring enhances the sunburst effect and adds a beautiful sparkle to the dial. A beautiful piece in very good condition, the SGP case is in fair condition and has a nice shine to it still. The watch works well, keeping time, and quicksets aswell through the crown. Unfortunately, the dial has water damage around 3 'o clock.

In 1975, the reference number was 09QZW with a price tag of 43,000 yen, a significant amount compared to mechanical watches of that time.
