Vintage Seiko Spirit 7N43-7180 Frosted 1997 Quartz
This is why Seiko was still so fantastic in the 90s, the dials were simply great. This is also the case with this vintage Seiko watch with a fantastic “snowflake” dial. This concerns the reference 7N43-7180 which is a JDM (Japan Domestic Market) model from 1993. This is model SCDC001 from the 1993 catalog, priced at 20,000 Yen back then. It has a 5 ATM water resistance rating, but I would not recommend swimming or diving with this vintage watch.
Watch was fitted with a new battery in March 2024. The watch, case and strap have been ultrasonically cleaned and are therefore completely neat again. The time sets smoothly and so does quicksetting the day- and date through the crown. I wish more of these Seiko's were in this condition!
